Garcinia is a shrub found in Southeast Asia and is used for the preparation of Curry. In herbal medicine, we use the pericardium (skin) of its fruit.
In vitro and animal studies indicate that hydroxycitric acid (HCA), the active ingredient in garcinia , inhibits the action of an enzyme essential for fat synthesis. This substance could therefore prevent the storage of fat in the body, particularly when following a diet rich in carbohydrates .
Metabolic treatment. Promote weight loss by maintaining satiety and opposing the storage of fat in tissues.
The pericardium of the Garcinia fruit contains Hydroxycitric Acid (AHC or HCA). Hydroxycitric Acid prevents the synthesis of the ATP-citrate lyase enzyme by the liver: the formation and storage of fats from the transformation of proteins and sugars by this enzyme are slowed down.
