Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
50 µ [micro] g selenium daily (equivalent to 1 drinking ampoule).
Treatment should continue until the selenium status has normalized (selenium in plasma 80 – 120 µ [micro] g / l, in whole blood 100 – 140 µ [micro] g / l). A regular check of the selenium level at appropriate intervals is recommended.
