The drug is applied
– for the short-term treatment of sleep disorders,
– for the treatment of uncommon sleep disorders (difficulty falling or staying asleep) in adults.
Note: Not all sleep disorders require drug therapy. They are often an expression of physical or mental illness and can be influenced by other measures or therapy for the underlying disease. Therefore, in the case of persistent sleep disorders, no long-term treatment with doxylamine should be carried out, but the attending physician should be consulted.

– zur Behandlung gelegentlich auftretender Schlafstorungen (Ein- oder Durchschlafstorungen) bei Erwachsenen.
Hinweis: Nicht alle Schlafstorungen bedurfen einer medikamentosen Therapie. Oftmals sind sie Ausdruck korperlicher oder seelischer Erkrankungen und konnen durch andere Ma?nahmen oder eine Therapie der Grundkrankheit beeinflusst werden. Deshalb sollte bei langer anhaltenden Schlafstorungen keine Dauerbehandlung mit Doxylamin erfolgen, sondern der behandelnde Arzt aufgesucht werden.
