This drug belongs to the family of antiulcer drugs. It acts by binding to the ulcer and protects it by covering it with a film that isolates acids from the stomach. It stimulates the secretion of substances that tend to fight the acidity of the stomach.
It is used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, and to prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers in the absence of Helicobacter pylori infection (which deserve special treatment).

Method of administration and dosage of the drug ULCAR
It is advisable to take this drug half an hour to an hour before meals or two hours after dinner.
The tablets should be swallowed with a little water, whole or ground in water if swallowing is difficult.
Suspensions for oral administration can be taken neat or diluted in a glass of water. Only this form can be used in children under 6 years of age.
If symptoms persist despite the use of Ulcar at a dosage important, we recommend the drug for one to two weeks treatment.

Les suspensions pour administration orale peuvent être prises telles quelles ou diluées dans un verre d’eau. Seul ce formulaire peut être utilisé chez les enfants de moins de 6 ans.
Si les symptômes persistent malgré l’utilisation d’Ulcar à une posologie importante, nous recommandons le médicament pendant une à deux semaines de traitement.
