Mode of action
Bisacodyl inhibits the absorption of water in the intestine, but at the same time increases the release of water and electrolytes from the body into the intestine. This leads to an increase in the volume of the stool, which in turn triggers a reflex that leads to defecation.

Wirkungsweise
