The drug is used at
Inflammatory conditions of the mucous membranes in the nasopharynx (e.g. runny nose; to facilitate the drainage of secretions in case of sinusitis; in case of catarrh of the middle ear).
Contraindications and Precautions
The drug must not be used
– if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of the medication,
– with a certain form of chronic runny nose (rhinitis sicca),
– if the pineal gland has been surgically removed through the nose (transsphenoidal hypophysectomy) or other surgical procedures that expose the meninges,
– in infants and children up to 6 years of age. Because of the benzalkonium chloride content as a preservative, the drug must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to this substance.

Das Medikament wird angewendet bei
Entzьndungszustдnden der Schleimhдute im Nasen-Rachenraum (z.B. Schnupfen; zur Erleichterung des Sekretabflusses bei Nasennebenhцhlenentzьndung; bei Tubenmittelohrkatarrh).
Gegenanzeigen und VorsichtsmaЯnahmen
Das Medikament darf nicht angewendet werden,
– wenn Sie ьberempfindlich (allergisch) gegen Xylometazolin oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile des Medikaments sind,
– bei einer bestimmten Form eines chronischen Schnupfens (Rhinitis sicca),
– bei Zustand nach operativer Entfernung der Zirbeldrьse durch die Nase (transsphenoidaler Hypophysektomie) oder anderen operativen Eingriffen, die die Hirnhaut freilegen,
– bei Sдuglingen und Kindern bis zu 6 Jahren. Wegen des Gehaltes an Benzalkoniumchlorid als Konservierungsmittel darf das Medikament bei bekannter Ьberempfindlichkeit gegen diese Substanz nicht angewendet werden.
