How much should I take?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose per meal is a lipase content of 13,000 – 26,000 Ph. Eur. Units (corresponding to 1 to 2 capsules).
The dosage depends on the severity of the digestive weakness of the pancreas.
In patients with cystic fibrosis, the dose, taking into account the amount and composition of the meals, should not exceed the enzyme dose necessary for adequate fat intake.
An increase in the dose should only be carried out under medical supervision and aimed at improving symptoms, e.g. B. fatty stool (steatorrhea) or abdominal pain.
A daily enzyme dose of 15,000 – 20,000 Ph. Eur. Units of lipase per kilogram of body weight should not be exceeded.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.
Duration of application
The duration of use depends on the course of the disease and is determined by your doctor.
If you take more than you should:
Symptoms of poisoning are not to be expected even after ingestion of larger amounts; special treatment in the event of an overdose is therefore not necessary.
An overdose of pancreatin can lead to an increase in uric acid in the blood and urine, especially in cystic fibrosis patients.
The recommended maximum dosage of 15,000 – 20,000 Ph. Eur. Units of lipase per kilogram of body weight per day should therefore not be exceeded.
If you have taken too little or if you forget to take a dose:
If you have taken too little, the treatment may not be successful in whole or in part, so that indigestion can still be proven.
If you forget to take a dose, please continue the therapy as recommended without increasing the next dose yourself. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you interrupt or stop taking
Please talk to your doctor if you want to end or interrupt treatment on your own.
If you interrupt or stop taking it prematurely, you must expect that the desired effect will not be achieved or that the clinical picture will worsen.

Wie viel ist einzunehmen?
Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, ist die ubliche Dosis pro Mahlzeit ein Lipaseanteil von 13.000 – 26.000 Ph. Eur. Einheiten (entsprechend 1 bis 2 Kapseln).
Die Dosierung richtet sich nach dem Schweregrad der Verdauungsschwache der Bauchspeicheldruse.
Bei Patienten mit Mukoviszidose sollte die Dosis, unter Berucksichtigung von Menge und Zusammensetzung der Mahlzeiten, die fur eine angemessene Fettaufnahme notwendige Enzymdosis nicht uberschreiten.
Eine Erhohung der Dosis sollte nur unter arztlicher Kontrolle erfolgen und an der Verbesserung der Symptome z. B. Fettstuhl (Steatorrhoe) oder Bauchschmerzen ausgerichtet sein.
Eine tagliche Enzymdosis von 15.000 – 20.000 Ph. Eur. Einheiten Lipase pro Kilogramm Korpergewicht sollte nicht uberschritten werden.
Bitte sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie den Eindruck haben, dass die Wirkung von zu stark oder zu schwach ist.
Dauer der Anwendung
Die Dauer der Anwendung richtet sich nach dem Krankheitsverlauf und wird von Ihrem Arzt bestimmt.
Wenn Sie eine gro?ere Menge eingenommen haben, als Sie sollten:
Auch nach Einnahme gro?erer Mengen ist nicht mit Vergiftungserscheinungen zu rechnen; eine besondere Behandlung bei Uberdosierung ist deshalb nicht erforderlich.
Eine Uberdosierung von Pankreatin kann insbesondere bei Mukoviszidosepatienten zu einer Erhohung der Harnsaure in Blut und Urin fuhren.
Die empfohlene Hochstdosierung von 15.000 – 20.000 Ph. Eur. Einheiten Lipase pro Kilogramm Korpergewicht pro Tag sollte daher nicht uberschritten werden.
Wenn Sie zu wenig eingenommen haben oder die Einnahme vergessen haben:
Sollten Sie zuwenig eingenommen haben, kann der Behandlungserfolg ganz oder teilweise ausbleiben, so dass sich auch weiterhin eine Verdauungsschwache nachweisen lasst.
Wenn Sie einmal die Einnahme vergessen haben, so setzen Sie die Therapie wie empfohlen bitte fort, ohne selbstandig die folgende Dosis zu erhohen. Fragen Sie im Zweifelsfall Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker.
Wenn Sie die Einnahme unterbrechen oder abbrechen
Sprechen Sie bitte mit Ihrem Arzt, wenn Sie die Behandlung eigenstandig beenden oder unterbrechen wollen.
Wenn Sie die Einnahme unterbrechen oder vorzeitig beenden, mussen Sie damit rechnen, dass sich die gewunschte Wirkung nicht einstellt bzw. dass sich das Krankheitsbild verschlechtert.
