application areas
The drug is used for
symptomatic treatment of diseases in which gastric acid should be bound:
– heartburn and acid-related stomach problems.
– gastric or duodenal ulcers (gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer).
Note:
In patients with gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer, an examination for H. pylori (certain bacterial species) should be considered – and if it is found, an approved eradication therapy should be considered, since the ulcer disease usually heals if the eradication is successful.
Contraindications and Precautions
The drug must not be used
– if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredients aluminum oxide or magnesium hydroxide, the preservatives methyl (4-hydroxybenzoate), propyl (4-hydroxybenzoate) (parabens) or any of the other ingredients of the medication.
– If you have impaired kidney function (creatinine clearance <30 ml / min) or a low blood phosphate level (hypophosphataemia), the drug must not be taken.
Anwendungsgebiete
Das Medikament wird angewendet zur
symptomatischen Behandlung von Erkrankungen, bei denen die Magensaure gebunden werden soll:
– Sodbrennen und saurebedingte Magenbeschwerden.
– Magen- oder Zwolffingerdarmgeschwure (Ulcus ventriculi oder Ulcus duodeni).
Hinweis:
Bei Patienten mit Ulcus ventriculi oder duodeni sollte eine Untersuchung auf H. pylori (bestimmte Bakterienart) – und im Falle des Nachweises – eine anerkannte Eradikationstherapie erwogen werden, da in der Regel bei erfolgreicher Eradikation auch die Ulcuskrankheit ausheilt.
Gegenanzeigen und Vorsichtsma?nahmen
Das Medikament darf nicht angewendet werden,
– wenn Sie uberempfindlich (allergisch) gegenuber den Wirkstoffen Aluminiumoxid oder Magnesiumhydroxid, den enthaltenen Konservierungsstoffen Methyl(4-hydroxybenzoat), Propyl(4-hydroxybenzoat) (Parabene) oder einem der sonstigen Bestandteile des Medikaments sind.
– wenn bei Ihnen eine eingeschrankte Nierenfunktion (Kreatininclearance < 30 ml/min) oder ein niedriger Phosphatblutspiegel (Hypophosphatamie) vorliegt, darf das Medikament nicht eingenommen werden.
