Lactulose-MIP is a medicine in the form of a syrup that contains lactulose. Lactulose-MIP has a mild laxative effect and is used in constipation and in the prevention and treatment of hepatic encephelopathy. The drug can be given to children and adults.
The active substance is lactulose (Lactulosum).
15 ml of syrup contains 9.75 g of lactulose.
Excipients: cherry flavor IFF 16-21-3618. citric acid anhydrous, purified water.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or according to your doctor or pharmacist’s instructions. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The dosage should be selected individually according to the patient’s needs, the severity and the course of the disease. The drug should be taken orally.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Lactulose-MIP may cause the following side effects: gastrointestinal disorders (when too high doses are used) – abdominal pain, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Metabolism and nutrition disorders: hypernatraemia (increased sodium concentration in the blood when used in hepatic encephalopathy), electrolyte imbalance (due to diarrhea).

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze przyjmować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta, lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Dawkowanie powinno być dobrane indywidualnie do potrzeb pacjenta, ciężkości i przebiegu choroby. Lek należy przyjmować doustnie.
Jak każdy lek, lek ten może powodować działania niepożądane, chociaż nie u każdego one wystąpią.
Lactulose-MIP może powodować następujące działania niepożądane: zaburzenia żołądka i jelit (w przypadku stosowania zbyt dużych dawek)-bóle brzucha, wzdęcia, nudności, wymioty, biegunka. Zaburzenia metabolizmu i odżywiania: hipernatremia (podwyższenie stężenia sodu we krwi, podczas stosowania w encefalopatii wątrobowej), zaburzenia równowagi elektrolitowej (na skutek biegunki).
