application areas
The drug is applied
in adults
for the short-term treatment of sleep disorders, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, kinetoses (e.g. motion sickness).
with children
for the treatment of nausea and vomiting from a body weight of 8 kg.
Contraindications and Precautions
– if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to diphenhydramine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the medication,
– in acute asthma,
– glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma),
– with certain tumors of the adrenal medulla (pheochromocytoma),
– if the prostate gland is enlarged with residual urine,
– in epilepsy,
– if you have a potassium or magnesium deficiency,
– if the heartbeat is slow (bradycardia),
– with certain heart diseases (congenital QT syndrome or other clinically significant cardiac damage, especially circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, conduction disorders, arrhythmias),
– with simultaneous use of drugs that also prolong the so-called QT interval in the ECG or lead to hypokalaemia,
– if you are taking alcohol or so-called “MAO inhibitors” (agents used to treat depression) at the same time,
– during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Anwendungsgebiete
Das Medikament wird angewendet
bei Erwachsenen
zur Kurzzeitbehandlung von Schlafstorungen, Schwindel, Ubelkeit, Erbrechen, Kinetosen (z.B. Reisekrankheit).
bei Kindern
zur Behandlung von Ubelkeit und Erbrechen ab einem Korpergewicht von 8 kg.
Gegenanzeigen und Vorsichtsma?nahmen
– wenn Sie uberempfindlich (allergisch) gegenuber Diphenhydraminhydrochlorid oder einem der sonstigen Bestandteile des Medikaments sind,
– bei akutem Asthma,
– bei grunem Star (Engwinkelglaukom),
– bei bestimmten Geschwulsten des Nebennierenmarks (Phaochromocytom),
– bei Vergro?erung der Vorsteherdruse mit Restharnbildung,
– bei Epilepsie,
– bei Kalium- oder Magnesiummangel,
– bei verlangsamtem Herzschlag (Bradykardie),
– bei bestimmten Herzerkrankungen (angeborenes QT-Syndrom oder anderen klinisch bedeutsamen Herzschaden, insbesondere Durchblutungsstorungen der Herzkranzgefa?e, Erregungsleitungsstorungen, Arrhythmien),
– bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Arzneimitteln, die ebenfalls das sogenannte QT-Intervall im EKG verlangern oder zu einer Hypokaliamie fuhren,
– bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Alkohol oder sogenannten “MAO-Hemmern” (Mittel zur Behandlung von Depressionen),
– wahrend der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit.
