Heparinum GSK is a medicine in the form of a skin cream for use in, among others, varicose veins of the lower extremities, swelling or bruises. The cream contains heparin with anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory properties, as a result, it relieves pain and supports the reduction of swelling.
The active substance is sodium heparin (Heparinum natricum).
1 g of cream contains 300 IU of sodium heparin.
Excipients: glycerol monostearate, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetostearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, anhydrous citric acid, purified water.
Dosages
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Kerem Heparinum GSK is for cutaneous use only. A thin layer of cream should be evenly covered on the affected areas. Use the drug 1 to 3 times a day.
The duration of treatment depends on your condition. In the case of phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, edema, subcutaneous hematomas and contusions, the cream should be applied for 1 to 2 weeks. In the treatment of acute swelling after blunt injuries – it is recommended to use the drug for up to 10 days.
Action
The cream contains heparin, which has anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory properties. Heparinum GSK shortens the absorption time of intradermal hematomas and edema and plays an important role in eliminating local inflammation. The drug relieves pain and contributes to a faster relief of inflammatory edema.
Indications
The indications for the use of Heparinum GSK cream are adjunctive therapy in diseases of superficial veins, such as:
phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins of the lower limbs,
swelling, contusions, subcutaneous hematomas.
Contraindications
Do not use Heparinum GSK:
if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
on open wounds, on mucous membranes or around the eyes, because the medicine contains alcohol;
if you have unexplained skin changes;
on infected wounds.

Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza, lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.
Kerem Heparinum GSK jest przeznaczony wyłącznie do stosowania na skórę. Na chorobowo zmienione miejsca należy równomiernie pokryć cienką warstwę kremu. Lek stosować od 1 do 3 razy na dobę.
Czas trwania leczenia zależy od schorzenia. W przypadku zapalenia żył, zakrzepowego zapalenia żył, żylaków kończyn, obrzęków, krwiaków podskórnych i stłuczeń krem należy aplikować przez 1 do 2 tygodni. W terapii ostrych obrzęków po tępych urazach – zaleca się stosowanie leku do 10 dni.
Działanie
Krem zawiera heparynę, działającą przeciwzakrzepowo oraz przeciwzapalnie. Heparinum GSK skraca czas wchłaniania krwiaków śródskórnych oraz obrzęków i odgrywa ważną rolę w likwidowaniu miejscowych stanów zapalnych. Lek łagodzi ból i przyczynia się do szybszego ustąpienia obrzęku zapalnego.
Wskazania
Wskazaniami do zastosowania kremu Heparinum GSK jest terapia wspomagająca w chorobach żył powierzchniowych, takich jak:
zapalenie żył, zakrzepowe zapalenie żył, żylaki kończyn dolnych,
obrzęki, stłuczenia, krwiaki podskórne.
Przeciwwskazania
Kiedy nie stosować leku Heparinum GSK:
jeśli pacjent ma uczulenie na substancję czynną lub którykolwiek z pozostałych składników tego leku;
na otwarte rany, na błony śluzowe ani w okolicach oczu, ponieważ lek zawiera alkohol;
jeśli pacjent ma zmiany skórne o nieustalonej przyczynie;
na zakażone rany.
