Hederoin is a herbal expectorant in the form of tablets with dry ivy leaf extract (Hederae helicis foil extractum siccum). The drug acts as an expectorant and relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi, and also dilutes the secretions from the respiratory tract. Hederoin is used in wet cough with difficult expectoration of thick, residual secretions in adults and children over 6 years of age. Hederoin expectorates, relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi and facilitates the expulsion of residual secretions. The drug also causes thinning of the thick mucus in the airways.
