Hederasal is a medicine in the form of a syrup that has an expectorant effect and relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi. Hederasal contains a dry plant extract of ivy leaves (Hederae helicis foli extractum siccum) and is used for wet cough with difficult expectoration of thick secretion in the respiratory tract. The drug can be used in children from 2 years of age as well as in adults. Hederasal syrup causes thinning of the thick secretion that remains in the bronchi, larynx and throat. This reduces the frequency and soreness of coughing attacks. The drug also relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi, which facilitates expectoration and soothes the cough reflex, but does not block the cough reflex.

Wskazania
Hederasal stosuje się jako lek wykrztuśny przy kaszlu mokrym z utrudnionym odkrztuszaniem zalegającej wydzieliny w drogach oddechowych.
