Dosage
Children should only take this medicine under the supervision of a doctor. Children aged 4 years or younger should not take bisacodyl. Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, the following dosage is recommended.
Short-term treatment of constipation: Adults and children over 10 years – 1 suppository (10 mg) for immediate effect, maximum once a day.
Children 4–10 years of age – for this age group, the product is available in a more suitable dosage form (enteric tablets).
Use for use in patients suffering from constipation. It should be administered under the supervision of a physician to prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, in pre- and postoperative care, as well as in conditions that require support for defecation.
Method of administration
Suppositories are usually effective in about 20 minutes (range between 10 and 30 minutes). They must first be unpacked and then inserted into the rectum. It should not be used for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. For preparation for diagnostic procedures and preoperatively.
Adults and children over 10 years of age – Dulcolax tablets – 2 tablets (10 mg) in the morning and 2 tablets (10 mg) in the evening before the examination, followed by the administration of 1 suppository in the morning before the examination.
Children 4 to 10 years of age – Dulcolax tablets – 1 tablet (5 mg) in the evening before the examination, followed by a laxative for children with immediate effect (eg a suppository) in the morning before the examination.
Dávkování
Děti by měly užívat tento lék jen pod dohledem lékaře. Děti ve věku 4 let nebo mladší nesmí bisakodyl užívat. Jestliže není lékařem určeno jinak, doporučuje se následující dávkování.
Krátkodobá léčba zácpy: Dospělí a děti nad 10 let – 1 čípek (10 mg) pro okamžitý účinek, maximálně jedenkrát za den.
Děti 4–10 let – pro tuto věkovou kategorii je k dispozici přípravek ve vhodnější lékové formě (enterosolventní tablety).
Užití k podávání pacientům trpícím zácpou. Pro přípravu pacientů k diagnostickým výkonům, v před a v pooperační péči, dále při stavech, které vyžadují podporu defekace, by měl být podáván pod dohledem lékaře.
