Pantoprazole-based tablets.
Therapeutic indications
Buscopan Reflux is used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (eg heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults.
Dosage and Posology
The drug should be taken in the following doses and methods: the recommended dose is 20 mg of pantoprazole (one tablet) per day. It may be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to achieve an improvement in symptoms. Once complete healing of symptoms is achieved, treatment should be stopped. Treatment should not exceed 4 weeks without consulting a doctor. If no improvement in symptoms is noted within 2 weeks of continuous treatment, the patient should seek medical attention.
No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. The use of Buscopan Reflux is not recommended in children and adolescents under the age of 18 due to insufficient data on safety and efficacy.
Buscopan Reflux 20 mg gastro-resistant tablets should not be chewed or crushed, and should be swallowed whole with liquid before a meal.
Compresse a base di pantoprazolo.
Indicazioni terapeutiche
Buscopan Reflusso si usa nel trattamento a breve termine dei sintomi da reflusso (ad es. pirosi, rigurgito acido) negli adulti.
Dosaggio e Posologia
Il farmaco va assunto secondo le seguenti dosi e modalità: la dose raccomandata è 20 mg di pantoprazolo (una compressa) al giorno. Potrebbe essere necessario assumere le compresse per 2-3 giorni consecutivi per raggiungere un miglioramento dei sintomi. Una volta raggiunta la completa guarigione dei sintomi, il trattamento deve essere sospeso. Il trattamento non deve superare le 4 settimane senza consultare un medico. Se entro 2 settimane di trattamento continuo non si nota alcun miglioramento dei sintomi, il paziente deve rivolgersi al medico.
Non è necessario l’aggiustamento della dose in pazienti anziani o in pazienti con compromissione renale o epatica. L’uso di Buscopan Reflusso non è raccomandato nei bambini ed adolescenti al di sotto di 18 anni a causa della insufficienza di dati sulla sicurezza e sull’efficacia.
Le compresse gastroresistenti Buscopan Reflusso 20 mg non devono essere masticate o frantumate, e devono essere deglutite intere con del liquido prima del pasto.
