Bromelain-POS® is a herbal medicine and is used to accompany acute swellings after operations and injuries, especially the nose and sinuses.
How to take Bromelain-POS®
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years take one tablet of Bromelain-POS® 1-2 times a day.
Use in children under 12 years:
Due to insufficient studies, this medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
The tablet should not be divided, as the tablets are coated with an enteric coating. The stomach acid would partially destroy the active ingredient and the effectiveness of the drug would be reduced. The coating protects the tablets so that the active ingredient passes through the stomach undamaged and is only released in the small intestine. Bromelain-POS® should be swallowed whole with a little liquid (e.g. a glass of water) about half an hour before meals.
Do not take Bromelain-POS® for longer than 4-5 days without medical or dental advice; In justified cases the application is possible over a longer period.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Bromelain-POS® is too strong or too weak.
How is Bromelain-POS® stored?
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the side flap of the carton / blister. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
Storage conditions:
Store in a refrigerator (2 ° C – 8 ° C). During the treatment period, the medicine can be stored outside the refrigerator for 4 weeks, but not above 25 ° C.
