Beta carotene is also an antioxidant, preventing the formation of free radicals. The drug is administered mainly in the prevention of vitamin A deficiency and, among others, in the case of hypersensitivity to the sun’s rays or as a supplementary measure for women using oral contraceptives and a slimming diet. Amara beta carotene can be used in children over 7 years of age and adults.
