Gastro-resistant tablets for oral use containing bisacodyl.
Therapeutic indications
Alaxa Gastroresistant Tablets is used in the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. The active ingredient is bisacodyl, which serves to facilitate the evacuation of stool. The laxative effect is obtained thanks to the ability of bisacodyl to soften the stool and to increase the speed of intestinal transit.
Dosage and posology
Alaxa Gstroresistenti Tablets should be used in the following doses:
Adults: 2 tablets per day; in particularly stubborn cases, 3 tablets.
Children between 3 and 12 years: 1-2 tablets per day (0.3 mg / kg) under direct medical supervision.
The correct dose is the minimum sufficient to produce an easy evacuation of soft faeces. It is advisable to initially use the minimum doses provided. When necessary, the dose can then be increased, but without ever exceeding the maximum indicated. Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no more than seven days. Use for longer periods of time requires a doctor’s prescription after adequate evaluation of the individual case. The tablets should be swallowed whole, together with an adequate amount of water (a large glass). A diet rich in liquids favors the effect of the medicine. The tablets should preferably be administered after the evening meal, so that the effect of the laxative, which occurs after 10-12 hours, does not disturb sleep. If taken on an empty stomach, the laxative effect occurs within about 5 hours.
Take Alaxa gastro-resistant tablets at least 1 hour after taking milk or antacids and at least two hours after taking other medicines orally.

Indicazioni terapeutiche
Alaxa Compresse Gastroresistenti si usa nel trattamento di breve durata della stitichezza occasionale. Il principio attivo è il bisacodile, che serve a facilitare l’evacuazione delle feci. L’effetto lassativo si ottiene grazie alla capacità che ha il bisacodile di ammorbidire le feci e di aumentare la velocità del transito intestinale.
Dosaggio e posologia
Alaxa Compresse Gstroresistenti deve essere utilizzato secondo le seguenti dosi:
Adulti: 2 compresse al giorno; nei casi particolarmente ostinati, 3 compresse.
Bambini tra i 3 e 12 anni: 1-2 compresse al giorno (0,3 mg/Kg) sotto il diretto controllo del medico.
La dose corretta è quella minima sufficiente a produrre una facile evacuazione di feci molli. E’ consigliabile usare inizialmente le dosi minime previste. Quando necessario, la dose può essere poi aumentata, ma senza mai superare quella massima indicata. I lassativi devono essere usati il meno frequentemente possibile e per non più di sette giorni. L’ uso per periodi di tempo maggiori richiede la prescrizione del medico dopo adeguata valutazione del singolo caso. Le compresse vanno deglutite intere, insieme ad una adeguata quantità di acqua (un bicchiere abbondante). Una dieta ricca di liquidi favorisce l’ effetto del medicinale. Le compresse debbono preferibilmente essere somministrate dopo il pasto serale, in modo che l’ effetto del lassativo, che si produce dopo 10-12 ore, non disturbi il sonno. Se l’assunzione avviene a stomaco vuoto, l’ effetto lassativo si manifesta entro circa 5 ore.
Assumere Alaxa compresse gastroresistenti almeno 1 ora dopo l’ assunzione di latte o antiacidi e almeno due ore dopo l’ assunzione per via orale di altri medicinali.
