Therapeutic indications
X-Prep is used in adults and children over 10 years of age for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. Talk to your doctor if you don’t feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.
What is X-Prep and what is it for?
X-Prep contains, as an active ingredient, sennosides extracted from the senna plant, belonging to a group of medicines called contact laxatives. These medicines work by stimulating bowel movements.
Dosage and posology
How to use X-Prep?
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is one or two coffee spoons.
Warning: do not exceed the indicated doses without consulting the doctor. It is advisable to start with the minimum required dose. The dose can then be increased, up to the maximum recommended dose (2 coffee spoons), for a regular evacuation of stool.
Take X-Prep preferably in the evening after a meal. The effect of the medicine manifests itself within 6-12 hours. If given in the evening, the medicine will take effect the next morning.
Use laxatives as infrequently as possible and for no more than 7 days. Use for longer periods of time requires a doctor’s prescription after an adequate assessment of the individual case. Consult your doctor if the disorder occurs repeatedly or if you notice any recent change in its characteristics.
X-Prep in children and adolescents
X-Prep should not be given to children under 10 years of age.
How to use
Swallow X-Prep with a glass of water. To open the bottle and prepare the solution you need:
Press lightly on the outer plastic cap while turning it counterclockwise and remove the cap.
Firmly press the separator cap containing the powder, shake the bottle until completely dissolved, then remove the separator cap.
After you have taken your dose of X-Prep close the bottle with the plastic cap.

Dosaggio e posologia
Come usare X-Prep?
Prendere questo medicinale seguendo sempre esattamente le istruzioni del medico o del farmacista. In caso di dubbi consulti il medico o il farmacista.
La dose raccomandata è uno o due cucchiaini da caffè.
Attenzione: non superare le dosi indicate senza sentire il parere del medico. E’ consigliabile iniziare con la dose minima prevista. La dose può essere poi aumentata, fino alla dose massima raccomandata (2 cucchiaini da caffè), per una regolare evacuazione delle feci.
Prendere X-Prep preferibilmente la sera dopo il pasto. L’effetto del medicinale si manifesta entro 6-12 ore. Se somministrato la sera il medicinale farà effetto la mattina successiva.
Usare i lassativi il meno frequentemente possibile e per non più di 7 giorni. L’uso per periodi di tempo maggiori richiede la prescrizione del medico dopo un’adeguata valutazione del singolo caso. Consultare il medico se il disturbo si presenta ripetutamente o se si nota un qualsiasi cambiamento recente delle sue caratteristiche.
X-Prep nei bambini e negli adolescenti
X-Prep non deve essere somministrato in bambini di età inferiore a 10 anni.
Modalità d’uso
Ingerire X-Prep con un bicchiere di acqua. Per aprire il flacone e preparare la soluzione è necessario:
Esercitare una lieve pressione sul tappo di plastica esterno girandolo contemporaneamente in senso antiorario e rimuova il tappo.
Premere a fondo il tappo separatore che contiene la polvere, agiti il flacone fino a completa dissoluzione, quindi rimuova il tappo separatore.
Dopo che ha preso la dose di X-Prep chiudere il flacone con il tappo di plastica.
