The Tantum Verde® spray with the active ingredient benzydamine is sprayed directly into the mouth and throat as a ready-to-use solution for the treatment of pain and irritation. The spray for use in the oral cavity, with its anti-inflammatory effect, belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory drugs. Tantum Verde® has a local anesthetic, i.e. it numbs the pain in the mouth and throat in a targeted manner. The drug quickly relieves the pain and ensures freedom from symptoms for up to 3 hours.
Dosage and instructions for use:
Tantum Verde® is generally used 2–6 times a day: 4–8 sprays each for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. 4 sprays for children between 6 and 12 years of age. For children between 2 and 6 years of age, 1 spray per 4 kg body weight, a maximum of 4 sprays. Unless otherwise prescribed by the dentist or doctor, the recommended dosage also applies to elderly patients.
Operating instructions: First of all, the pump nozzle must be lifted. Before using for the first time, the spray head must be actuated a few times until an even spray comes out. Then insert the pump nozzle into the mouth opening and point it at the affected area.
Treatment with less than the recommended amount of Tantum Verde® oral spray can take longer to take effect, and the treatment may not be successful at all.
Das Tantum Verde® Spray mit dem Wirkstoff Benzydamin wird als gebrauchsfertige Lösung zur Behandlung von Schmerzen und Reizungen direkt in den Mund- und Rachenraum gesprüht. Das Spray zur Anwendung in der Mundhöhle zählt mit seiner entzündungshemmenden Wirkung zur Gruppe der Antiphlogistika. Tantum Verde® wirkt lokalanästhetisch, das heißt, es betäubt den Schmerz gezielt im Mund und Rachen. Das Arzneimittel lindert den Schmerz rasch und sorgt für Beschwerdefreiheit von bis zu 3 Stunden.
Dosierung und Anwendungshinweise:
Tantum Verde® wird im Allgemeinen 2–6-mal täglich angewendet: Je 4–8 Sprühstöße bei Erwachsenen und Jugendlichen über 12 Jahren. 4 Sprühstöße bei Kindern zwischen 6 und 12 Jahren. Bei Kindern zwischen 2 und 6 Jahren 1 Sprühstoß pro 4 kg Körpergewicht, maximal 4 Sprühstöße. Falls vom Zahnarzt oder Arzt nicht anders verordnet, gilt die Dosierempfehlung auch für ältere Patienten.
Bedienungsanleitung: Zunächst ist die Pumpdüse anzuheben. Vor der ersten Anwendung muss der Sprühkopf einige Male betätigt werden, bis ein gleichmäßiger Sprühstoß austritt. Anschließend ist die Pumpdüse in die Mundöffnung einzuführen und auf die betroffene Stelle zu richten.
Bei der Behandlung mit einer geringeren als der empfohlenen Menge Tantum Verde® Mundspray kann sich die Zeit bis zum Wirkungseintritt verlängern, unter Umständen kann der Behandlungserfolg auch ganz ausbleiben.
