Skinoren Rosacea is a drug in the form of an anti-acne gel. The gel contains azelaic acid, which reduces inflammatory papules and pustules on the face. The drug is intended for adults.
The active substance is azelaic acid (Acidum azelaicum).
1 g of the drug contains 150 mg of azelaic acid.
Excipients: benzoic acid (E210), carbomer 980, edetate disodium, lecithin, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium hydroxide and medium chain saturated fatty acid triglycerides.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
The drug is intended for topical application to the skin. Before using the gel, thoroughly clean the skin and then dry it. Hands should be washed thoroughly after application. Do not use airtight and waterproof (occlusive) dressings and coverings.
The usual dosage for adults of Skinoren Rosacea gel is to apply and gently rub into the affected areas of the drug twice a day. About 2.5 cm of the medicine squeezed out of the tube, corresponding to 0.5 g of gel, is enough to cover the entire face. In case of skin irritation, the frequency of using Skinoren Rosacea can be limited to once a day until irritation is gone. If necessary, treatment should be interrupted for several days.
It is important to use Skinoren Rosacea on a regular basis throughout the treatment period in order to achieve an optimal treatment result. Skinoren Rosacea can be used for several months. A clear improvement can be seen after the 4th week of treatment. If you do not feel better after 2 months of treatment, or if your rosacea gets worse, stop taking Skinoren Rosacea and contact your doctor.
