Marco is an annual shrubby herb native to the Peruvian Andes, known for its intense aroma. It is very often found as shrubs on the wet and muddy banks of rivers in coastal areas, Andean valleys and on the edges of the rainforest.
The use is known mainly in the countries of origin. In South America, it was already known to the ancient Incas, for whom the herb was part of spiritual rituals.

Marco je jednoletá keřovitá bylina pocházející z peruánských And, je známá svojí intenzívní vůní. Velmi často se vyskytuje jako křoví na vlhkých a blátivých březích řek v pobřežních oblastech, andských údolích a na okrajích pralesa.
Užití je známé především v zemích původu. V Jižní Americe ji znali již staří Inkové, pro které byla bylina součástí duchovních rituálů.
