Pevaryl Powder Skin is a drug based on econazole nitrate.
Therapeutic indications
Pevaryl Polvere Cutanea is used in the treatment of cutaneous mycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds, skin infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria: streptococci and staphylococci, fungal otitis externa, mycosis of the ear canal (limited to the cutaneous emulsion form), onychomycosis and Pityriasis Versicolor.
Dosage and Posology
Pevaryl Powder Cutaneous must be applied morning and evening, in the infected skin areas, with a light massage, until the mycosis has completely disappeared (1-3 weeks). It is recommended to continue the application of Pevaryl for a few days after the disappearance of the mycosis. Intertriginous spaces (e.g. interdigital spaces of the foot, folds of the buttocks) in the wet stage should be cleansed with gauze prior to applying Pevaryl.
An occlusive dressing is recommended in the treatment of onychomycosis. Pevaryl cutaneous powder should be used as a complementary therapy of Pevaryl cream and alcoholic solution cutaneous spray. In the case of intertrigo, the use of Pevaryl cutaneous powder may be sufficient. Pevaryl non-alcoholic cutaneous solution: sprinkle, for three consecutive evenings, the whole wet body by placing the product on a sponge; do not rinse. The drug works during the night and must be washed off the following morning. If after 15 days from the end of the applications the Pityriasis Versicolor is not eradicated, repeat the treatment. To avoid relapses it is recommended to carry out the treatment again after 1 and 3 months. Regular and prescribed use of Pevaryl is of decisive importance for healing.

Indicazioni terapeutiche
Pevaryl Polvere Cutanea si usa nel trattamento di micosi cutanee causate da dermatofiti, lieviti e muffe, infezioni cutanee sostenute da batteri Gram-positivi: streptococchi e stafilococchi, otite esterna micotica, micosi del condotto uditivo (limitatamente alla forma emulsione cutanea), onicomicosi e Pityriasis Versicolor.
Dosaggio e Posologia
Pevaryl Polvere Cutanea deve essere applicato mattina e sera, nelle zone cutanee infette, con un leggero massaggio, fino a totale scomparsa della micosi (1-3 settimane). Si consiglia di proseguire l’applicazione di Pevaryl per qualche giorno dopo la scomparsa della micosi. Gli spazi intertriginosi (per es. spazi interdigitali del piede, pieghe dei glutei) allo stadio umido dovrebbero essere detersi con garze prima dell’applicazione di Pevaryl.
Nel trattamento delle onicomicosi si raccomanda un bendaggio occlusivo. Pevaryl polvere cutanea devono essere usati come terapia complementare di Pevaryl crema e spray cutaneo soluzione alcolica. Nel caso di intertrigine puo risultare sufficiente l’uso di Pevaryl polvere cutanea. Pevaryl soluzione cutanea non alcolica: cospargere, per tre sere consecutive, tutto il corpo umido ponendo il prodotto su una spugna; non risciacquare. Il farmaco svolge la sua azione durante la notte e va rimosso con lavaggio il mattino seguente. Se dopo 15 giorni dal termine delle applicazioni la Pityriasis Versicolor non risultasse debellata, ripetere il trattamento. Per evitare ricadute si raccomanda di eseguire il trattamento ancora dopo 1 e 3 mesi. L’impiego regolare e secondo le prescrizioni di Pevaryl e di importanza decisiva per la guarigione.
