Neurapas 100 The drug is a herbal remedy for the treatment of depressive mood with nervous anxiety. The herbal antidepressant contains the active ingredients passionflower, St. John’s wort and valerian root. St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) improves mood. Strengthens nerves and improves mood. Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) has a relaxing and calming effect. Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) quickly relieves nervous anxiety and helps with difficulty falling asleep. It is used for: depressive moods, fear, nervous anxiety, including with organ dysfunction (reactive, excited and masked depression, organ neuroses), melancholy, nervous exhaustion (neurasthenia, neuropathy). Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and children aged 12 years and over should take 2 film-coated tablets 1-3 times daily, and children aged 6 to 12 years should take 1 film-coated tablet 1-3 times daily, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid. The drug should be taken regardless of meals. There is no limit to the period of use. Please do not take this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package or carton. The expiry date is considered to be the last day of the specified month. Possible side effects: When using the drug, especially in people with fair skin, increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight (photosensitivity) is possible, with reactions resembling sunburn on areas of the skin exposed to strong radiation (sun, solarium). In addition, allergic skin rashes, gastrointestinal complaints, fatigue, anxiety, and subjective discomfort such as tingling may occur more frequently when taking the drug. The drug should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient research. The use of the drug is also not recommended for women of childbearing age who do not use contraception due to the risk of possible early pregnancy, unless such pregnancy is excluded. Breastfeeding Hypericin, one of the components of the drug, penetrates into the milk of rats and can reach higher concentrations there than in the mother’s blood. It is unknown whether the drug or its metabolites penetrate into breast milk. A risk to breastfed children cannot be excluded.
