Action
The NU-GEL hydrogel is a transparent hydroactive amorphous gel containing sodium alginate. The hydrogel creates a moist wound healing environment that facilitates the natural autolytic debridement of the wound, and the addition of alginate enhances its absorption properties. The gel, by facilitating the hydration of the wound, can also be used to soften and moisturize the scab.
Indications
The NU-GEL hydrogel is indicated for the preparation and removal of necrotic tissue from wounds, simultaneously with the treatment of chronic wounds at all stages of the healing process.
The method of using the medical device
1. Thoroughly clean the wound.
2. Remove the label from the accordion container by pulling the edge as indicated.
3. Remove the cap and wipe the tip of the applicator with a swab moistened with a suitable antiseptic.
4. Turn to remove the protection.
The NU-GEL hydrogel can be easily applied to a wound using one hand.
Grasp the container with one hand and squeeze the hydrogel directly onto the wound, exerting a constant pressure on the bottom of the container with your thumb or the ball of your hand. The tip of the applicator should not touch the wound surface.
Apply the NU-GEL hydrogel to the entire wound surface creating a layer at least Smm thick.
Cover with a secondary dressing appropriate to the amount of exudate.
Any unused gel should be discarded.
Changing and removing the dressing
Rinse the wound with sterile saline to clean the wound and surrounding area.
Depending on the amount of wound exudate, you can leave the hydrogel in the wound unchanged for up to 3 days. The hydrogel should be changed if wound exudate leaks through the secondary dressing.
Contraindications and precautions
If an infection develops in the wound, appropriate antibacterial therapy should be given.
NU-GEL hydrogel may be used under medical supervision.
Possible side effects of the medical device
NU-GEL contains propylene glycol which may cause irritation or sensitization in a small number of patients; if such reactions occur, use of the hydrogel should be discontinued.

Sposób użycia wyrobu medycznego
1. Starannie oczyścić ranę.
2. Zdjąć etykietę z harmonijkowego pojemnika, ciągnąc za brzeg, jak wskazano.
3. Zdjąć kapturek i przetrzeć końcówkę aplikatora gazikiem nasączonym odpowiednim środkiem antyseptycznym.
4. Przekręcić, aby usunąć zabezpieczenie.
Hydrożel NU-GEL może być łatwo nakładany na ranę przy użyciu jednej ręki.
Chwycić pojemnik jedną ręką i wycisnąć hydrożel bezpośrednio na ranę, wywierając stały nacisk na dno pojemnika kciukiem lub kłębem dłoni. Końcówka aplikatora nie powinna dotykać powierzchni rany.
Nałożyć hydrożel NU-GEL na całą powierzchnię rany, tworząc warstwę o grubości co najmniej Smm.
Przykryć opatrunkiem wtórnym, odpowiednim do ilości wysięku.
Nie zużytą ilość żelu należy wyrzucić.
Zmiana i usuwanie opatrunku
Przepłukać ranę jałowym roztworem soli fizjologicznej, aby oczyścić ranę i okolicę.
W zależności od ilości wysięku z rany, można pozostawić hydrożel w ranie bez zmiany do 3 dni. Hydrożel należy zmienić, jeżeli dojdzie do przeciekania wysięku z rany przez opatrunek wtórny.
Przeciwwskazania i środki ostrożności
Jeżeli w ranie rozwinie się zakażenie, należy zastosować odpowiednie leczenie przeciwbakteryjne.
Hydrożel NU-GEL może być stosowany pod kontrolą lekarską.
Możliwe działania niepożądane wyrobu medycznego
NU-GEL zawiera glikol propylenowy, który może wywołać podrażnienie lub uczulenie u niewielkiej liczby pacjentów; jeżeli wystąpią takie reakcje, należy przerwać stosowanie hydrożelu.
