Therapeutic indications
Marco Viti Silver Protein 0.5% Children is used in the decongestant and antiseptic treatment of the nasal mucosa and antiseptic of the ear canal.
Dosage and Posology
The drug should be taken according to the following doses and methods: administer 1-2 drops in each nostril or in the ear canal 2-3 times a day.
Overdose
High plasma silver concentrations and skin discolouration may occur in the event of overdose. Additionally, systemic symptoms such as hepatotoxicity, cardiomyopathy, amnesia, and slurred speech can occur. Prolonged daily ingestion of proteinated silver can cause irreversible neurotoxicity, with myoclonic status epilepticus, leading to coma and, finally, death. An accumulation of silver in the skin, mucous membranes, membranes and eyes, due to ingestion or absorption of even small quantities, can lead to the appearance of argyria. Argyria is characterized by a gray to dark blue color of the skin, due to the bond of silver with different proteins and the consequent production of pigments.

Marco Viti Argento Proteinato 0,5% Bambini si usa nel trattamento decongestionante e antisettico della mucosa nasale e antisettico del condotto auricolare.
Dosaggio e Posologia
Il farmaco va assunto secondo le seguenti dosi e modalità: somministrare 1-2 gocce in ogni narice o nel condotto auricolare 2-3 volte al giorno.
Sovradosaggio
In caso di sovradosaggio si possono verificare elevate concentrazioni di argento nel plasma e decolorazione della cute. Inoltre, possono verificarsi sintomi sistemici come epatotossicità, cardiomiopatia, amnesia e linguaggio confuso. L’ingestione giornaliera prolungata di argento proteinato può determinare neurotossicità irreversibile, con stato epilettico mioclonico, fino a determinare coma e, infine, morte. Un accumulo di argento nella pelle, nelle mucose, nelle membrane e negli occhi, dovuto a ingestione o assorbimento anche di piccole quantità, può determinare la comparsa di argiria. L’argiria è caratterizzata da una colorazione della cute da grigio a blu scuro, dovuta al legame dell’argento con diverse proteine e alla conseguente produzione di pigmenti.
