Therapeutic indications
Canesten Unidie is used in the treatment of dermatomycosis caused by dermatophytes, saccharomyces, other pathogenic fungi: mycosis of the foot and hand, mycosis of the trunk (tinea corporis), mycosis of the skin folds (tinea inguinalis), onychomycosis, pityriasis versicolor, candidiasis superficial.
Dosage and Posology
The drug must be taken according to the following doses and methods: for the purpose of complete recovery, the controlled and sufficiently prolonged use of Canesten Unidie is essential. It is however advisable not to interrupt therapy immediately after the disappearance of the acute inflammatory manifestations and subjective symptoms, but to adhere to the following average treatment times, depending on the type of infection, the extent and location of the infection itself:
Foot mycosis (Tinea pedis, tinea pedum interdigitalis): 3 weeks
Mycosis of the trunk, hands and skin folds (Tinea corporis, tinea manuum, tinea inguinalis): 2-3 weeks
Pityriasis versicolor: 2 weeks
Superficial candidiasis: 2-4 weeks
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Canesten Unidie should be applied in small quantities to the infected parts with a light massage once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed. A small amount of cream is generally sufficient to treat a surface approximately equal to the palm of the hand. Pediatric population In pediatric age, the safety and efficacy of Canesten Unidie have not been demonstrated; until sufficient data is acquired, the use of the product in these subjects is not indicated.

Indicazioni terapeutiche
Canesten Unidie si usa nel trattamento delle dermatomicosi sostenute da dermatofiti, da saccaromiceti, da altri funghi patogeni: micosi del piede e della mano, micosi del tronco ( tinea corporis), micosi delle pieghe cutanee ( tinea inguinalis), onicomicosi, pityriasis versicolor, candidosi superficiali.
Dosaggio e Posologia
Il farmaco va assunto secondo le seguenti dosi e modalita: ai fini di una completa guarigione e indispensabile l’impiego controllato e sufficientemente prolungato di Canesten Unidie. Si consiglia comunque di non interrompere la terapia subito dopo la scomparsa delle manifestazioni flogistiche acute e della sintomatologia soggettiva, ma di attenersi ai seguenti tempi medi di trattamento, a seconda del tipo di infezione, della estensione e della localizzazione dell’infezione stessa:
Micosi del piede (Tinea pedis, tinea pedum interdigitalis): 3 settimane
Micosi del tronco, delle mani e delle pieghe cutanee (Tinea corporis, tinea manuum,tinea inguinalis): 2-3 settimane
Pityriasis versicolor: 2 settimane
Candidosi superficiali: 2-4 settimane
Salvo diversa prescrizione medica, Canesten Unidie va applicato in piccola quantita sulle parti infette con un lieve massaggio una volta sola al giorno, preferibilmente la sera prima di coricarsi. Una piccola quantita di crema e generalmente sufficiente per trattare un superficie di dimensione circa uguale al palmo della mano. Popolazione pediatrica In eta pediatrica, sicurezza ed efficacia di Canesten Unidie non sono statedimostrate; fino a quando non saranno acquisiti dati sufficienti, l’uso delprodotto in tali soggetti non e’ indicato.
