What are the ingredients in Bromuc?
Bromuc® akut contains acetylcysteine (NAC) as an active ingredient. The other ingredients are sucrose, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, tartaric acid (Ph. Eur.), Sodium chloride and orange flavor.
How is Bromuc dosed correctly?
Bromuc® acute is available in three strengths, depending on the age and the strength of the cough: Bromuc® acute 600 mg, Bromuc® acute 200 mg and Bromuc® acute Junior 100 mg. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dose is recommended:
• Bromuc® acute 600 mg: 1 application once a day for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age;
• Bromuc® acute 200 mg: 1 application 2 to 3 times a day for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age or 1 application 2 times a day for children between 6 and 14 years;
• Bromuc® akut Junior 100 mg: 1 application 3 to 4 times a day for children and adolescents from 6 to 14 years or 1 application 2 to 3 times a day for children 2 to 5 years.
• Bromuc® acute should be taken after meals. The content of a stick corresponds to 1 application. Dissolve the granules in 1 glass of water or liquid of choice and drink the contents of the glass completely.
When do I have to see a doctor if I have a cough?
Coughing is harmless in many cases, but it can also have serious causes or pose health risks. Can I take Bromuc with other medicines?
The combined use of Bromuc® acute with a cough suppressant is not recommended. The restricted cough reflex can cause a build-up of secretion. Antibiotics can also be weakened in their effect by taking acetylcysteine. Antibiotics should therefore be taken separately and at least two hours later. Please always discuss with your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or intending to take other medications.

Welche Bestandteile sind in Bromuc enthalten?
Bromuc® akut enthält als Wirkstoff Acetylcystein (NAC). Die weiteren Bestandteile sind Sucrose, hochdisperses Siliciumdioxid, Weinsäure (Ph. Eur.), Natriumchlorid und Orangenaroma.
Wie wird Bromuc richtig dosiert?
Bromuc® akut ist abhängig vom Alter und der Stärke des Hustens in drei Wirkstärken erhältlich: Bromuc® akut 600 mg, Bromuc® akut 200 mg und Bromuc® akut Junior 100 mg. Soweit ärztlich nicht anderes verordnet, wird folgende Dosis empfohlen:
• Bromuc® akut 600 mg: 1-mal täglich 1 Anwendung für Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 14 Jahren;
• Bromuc® akut 200 mg: 2- bis 3-mal täglich je 1 Anwendung für Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 14 Jahren bzw. 2-mal täglich 1 Anwendung für Kinder zwischen 6 und 14 Jahren;
• Bromuc® akut Junior 100 mg: 3- bis 4-mal täglich je 1 Anwendung für Kinder und Jugendliche von 6 bis 14 Jahren bzw. 2- bis 3-mal täglich je 1 Anwendung für Kinder von 2 bis 5 Jahren.
• Bromuc® akut ist nach den Mahlzeiten einzunehmen. Der Inhalt eines Sticks entspricht 1 Anwendung. Granulat in 1 Glas Wasser oder Flüssigkeit der Wahl auflösen und den Inhalt des Glases komplett austrinken.
Wann muss ich bei Husten zum Arzt gehen?
Husten ist zwar in vielen Fällen harmlos, kann aber auch ernste Ursachen haben oder gesundheitliche Risiken bergen. Es sollte deshalb unbedingt ein Arzt aufgesucht werden, wenn sich der Husten trotz Behandlung nicht innerhalb vier bis fünf Tagen bessert oder sogar verschlimmert, er mit mit hohem Fieber (über 39 °C) und/oder einem starkem Krankheitsgefühl einhergeht bzw. mit Schmerzen im Brustkorb, Atemnot und Rasselgeräuschen, der Husten zu einem gelblich-grünlichem Auswurf führt, bei Husten von Säuglingen und Kleinkindern unter zwei Jahren.
Kann ich Bromuc zusammen mit anderen Arzneimitteln einnehmen?
Von einer kombinierten Anwendung von Bromuc® akut mit einem hustenstillenden Mittel ist abzuraten. Durch den eingeschränkten Hustenreflex kann ein Sekretstau entstehen. Antibiotika können zudem durch die Einnahme von Acetylcystein in ihrer Wirkung geschwächt werden. Die Einnahme von Antibiotika sollte deshalb getrennt erfolgen und mindestens zwei Stunden zeitversetzt. Bitte besprechen Sie immer mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, falls Sie andere Medikamente einnehmen oder dies beabsichtigen.
