The common thyme (thyme, damian, Thymus serpyllum) is a perennial herb that grows on the edges of roads, on anthills, on the edges of forests, dry meadows (needs a lot of sun). The purple flowers spread an aromatic scent that attracts insects and bees. We also collect leaves with leaves and flowers on a sunny day during June to August.
Motherwort and its effects:

acts to dissolve mucus and promotes its expectoration
increases mucus secretion in the airways, relieves dry, unproductive cough

Mateřídouška obecná (polní tymián, damiána, Thymus serpyllum) je vytrvalá bylina, která roste na okraji cest, na mraveništích, na okraji lesů, suchých loukách (potřebuje hodně slunce). Z fialových kvítků se šíří aromatická vůně, která vábí hmyz a včely. Sbíráme nať i s listy a květem za slunného dne během června až srpna.

usnadňuje odkašlávání při katarech dýchacích cest, pomáhá uvolňovat křeče v žaludku (odvar)
působí na rozpouštění hlenu a podporuje jeho vykašlávání
zvyšuje sekreci hlenu v dýchacích cestách, ulevuje při suchém, neproduktivním kašli
při poruchách trávení spojených s plynatostí a kolikami, ke zvýšení vylučování žaludečních šťáv
při zánětech v ústech (kloktání odvaru)
