This medication is an eye ointment containing
antibiotic of the aminoglycoside family: neomycin,
and an antibiotic family of polypeptides: polymyxin B.
He reported in the local treatment of some eye infections caused by bacteria, the antibiotics contained in this preparation can be challenged: severe conjunctivitis, kératites (inflammation of the cornea of bacterial origin) and corneal ulcers.
Conjunctivitis is associated with inflammation of the transparent membrane covering the whites of the eyes and inside the eyelids. Most often viral, but can also be bacterial, allergic, or irritative. In cases where it is caused by an infectious agent, conjunctivitis is a highly contagious disease. It is one of the most common ophthalmic diseases, often identified by the redness and itching that it causes.
For keratitis, infections of the cornea, the outer membrane covering the eyes. The origin of kératites is very diverse: infectious (bacterial, viral, tissue), allergic, post-traumatic … Symptoms: Pain and redness of the eyes, decreased vision, discomfort in light (photophobia) and foreign body sensation.

Ce medicament est une pommade oculaire contenant
antibiotique de la famille des aminosides: neomycine,
et une famille antibiotique de polypeptides: la polymyxine B.
Selon lui, dans le traitement local de certaines infections oculaires causees par des bacteries, les antibiotiques contenus dans cette preparation peuvent etre contestes: conjonctivite severe, keratites (inflammation de la cornee d’origine bacterienne) et ulceres corneens.
La conjonctivite est associee a une inflammation de la membrane transparente recouvrant le blanc des yeux et a l’interieur des paupieres. Le plus souvent viral, mais peut egalement etre bacterien, allergique ou irritant. Dans les cas ou elle est causee par un agent infectieux, la conjonctivite est une maladie hautement contagieuse. C’est l’une des maladies ophtalmiques les plus courantes, souvent identifiee par les rougeurs et les demangeaisons qu’elle provoque.
Pour la keratite, les infections de la cornee, la membrane externe recouvrant les yeux. L’origine des keratites est tres diverse: infectieuse (bacterienne, virale, tissulaire), allergique, post-traumatique … Symptomes: Douleur et rougeur des yeux, diminution de la vision, inconfort a la lumiere (photophobie) et sensation de corps etranger.
L’ulcere corneen, egalement appele keratite ulcerative, endommage la surface de l’?il, au niveau des couches transparentes necessaires a la vision. Cette lesion intervient entre la keratite, relativement superficielle, et la perforation corneenne. S’il y a une infection, on parle d’abces corneen.
