Afrin ND is a medicinal product containing oxymetazoline hydrochloride used to treat the symptoms of a stuffy nose (runny nose) associated with a cold, sinusitis or hay fever. Afrin ND contains oxymetazoline, which belongs to the group of sympathomimetics. Oxymetazoline locally narrows the blood vessels of the mucous membranes, reduces the permeability of the membranes and nasal obstruction (opens the upper respiratory tract). Afrin ND reduces a runny nose. It takes a few minutes to start working and lasts up to 12 hours.
