lowers the wound pH, which inhibits the development of bacterial flora,
Manuka honey is rich in minerals containing phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, zinc, iron and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, folic acid, pantothenic acid and biotin,
the osmotic effect allows the removal of necrotic tissues and the development of new tissue,
reduces the unpleasant smell coming from the wound,
stimulates the process of autolytic wound cleansing and inhibits the growth of bacteria,
prevents the wound from drying out,
has antibacterial activity due to the presence of hydrogen peroxide in honey, which is formed under the influence of the enzyme glucose oxidase,
honey is rich in water-soluble antioxidants which positively influence the granulation process.
Indications
Activon Tube is designed for all types of wounds, especially for necrotic wounds and wounds with unpleasant odors, including:
surgical wounds,
bedsores,
ulcers,
burns,
local transplants.
The method of using the medical device
Apply Activon Tube directly to the wound or use in combination with Activon Tulle or Algivon, which increases the concentration of honey.
The wound can be additionally covered with a dressing, for example using an absorbent compress or polyurethane film.
Inverting the cap allows the tube to be blocked while the dressing is being made.
