The Actisorb Plus 25 medical device is a dressing containing activated charcoal and silver that allows cleaning of infected wounds or those at risk of infection.
The product is made of a layer of activated carbon with silver, which is placed in a non-stick nylon shirt.

Action
Actisorb Plus 25 has a broad spectrum of activity against microorganisms, including strains of multi-drug resistant bacteria, such as: MRSA, VRE. Activated carbon absorbs unpleasant odors, bacteria and toxins, while the addition of silver fights microorganisms inside the carbon layer. In addition, the dressing does not stick to wounds, so it is painless when taken off.
Indications
The product is indicated for use on various types of chronic wounds (e.g. leg ulcers, pressure ulcers or diabetic foot), traumatic and surgical wounds, wounds healing by granulation, cancer wounds infected with fungi, areas contaminated with bacteria, infected or emitting unpleasant odors.
The method of using the medical device
1. Moisten the dressing with saline or Ringer’s solution.
2. Apply the dressing directly to the wound or over any other non-stick dressing.
3. Secure everything with a secondary dressing.
Actisorb Plus 25 may remain for up to 7 days, however, how often the dressing is changed depends on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate. In the initial phase of treatment, when there is a large amount of pus in infected wounds, the dressing should be changed every day, while in the case of wounds at risk of infection, it is recommended to change it every 2-3 days. In the later stages of treatment, the dressing can be changed every 3-7 days as needed.
Contraindications and precautions
Single-use product, do not re-use.
Do not cut or remove the cover in which the carbon filter is located, as this may cause the dressing to loosen and enter the wound with carbon fibers.
Keep out of the reach of children.

Działanie
Actisorb Plus 25 wykazuje się szerokim spektrum działania przeciw drobnoustrojom, w tym także szczepom wielolekoopornych bakterii tj.: MRSA, VRE. Węgiel aktywny pochłania nieprzyjemny zapach, bakterie oraz toksyny, natomiast dodatek srebra zwalcza mikroorganizmy znajdujące się wewnątrz warstwy węglowej. Ponadto opatrunek nie przywiera do ran, dzięki czemu jest bezbolesny podczas zdejmowania.
Wskazania
Produkt wskazany jest do stosowania na różnego rodzaju rany przewlekłe (np. owrzodzenia podudzi, odleżyny, czy stopa cukrzycowa), rany pourazowe i chirurgiczne, rany gojące się poprzez ziarninowanie, rany nowotworowe zakażone grzybami, obszary zanieczyszczone bakteriami, zakażone lub wydzielające nieprzyjemny zapach.
Sposób użycia wyrobu medycznego
1. Zwilż opatrunek roztworem soli fizjologicznej lub płynem Ringera.
2. Nałóż opatrunek bezpośrednio na ranę lub na inny opatrunek nieprzywierający.
3. Całość zabezpiecz opatrunkiem wtórnym.
Actisorb Plus 25 może pozostawać do 7 dni, jednak częstość zmiany opatrunku zależy od stanu rany i ilości wysięku. W początkowej fazie leczenia, przy dużej ilości treści ropnej w ranach zainfekowanych opatrunek należy zmieniać codziennie, natomiast w przypadku ran zagrożonych infekcją zaleca się wymianę co 2-3 dni. W późniejszych fazach leczenia opatrunek, w zależności od potrzeby można zmieniać co 3-7 dni.
Przeciwwskazania i środki ostrożności
Produkt jednorazowego użytku, nie stosować ponownie.
Nie przecinać i nie usuwać otuliny, w której znajduje się filtr węglowy, gdyż grozi to rozejściem się opatrunku i przedostaniem włókien węglowych do rany.
Przechowywać w miejscu niedostępnym dla dzieci.
