Das Arzneimittel lindert zum einen die typischerweise auftretenden Symptome wie Spannungsgefühle, Juckreiz und Brennen an den Lippen. Zum anderen hemmt das Präparat zur Behandlung von Herpes Labialis die weitere Verbreitung des Virus. Hierzu ist das Arzneimittel 5-mal täglich im Abstand von 4 Stunden tagsüber auf die betroffenen Hautstellen aufzutragen.
