25 test strips for the determination of lactate from capillary blood.
Blood lactate self-monitoring to assess physical fitness and monitor training intensity in athletes. Lactate measurement is also used in hospitals in intensive care units for diagnostic evaluation and monitoring purposes (eg circulatory shock, poisoning, metabolic acidosis of unknown origin).
Each test strip has a test area containing the detection reagent. After application of capillary blood, a chemical reaction occurs and the test area changes color. The instrument records this color change and converts the measurement signal to the displayed result using the data previously entered using the coding strip.
