Jodisol solution is a highly effective disinfectant. It is a 3% alcohol solution of a complex compound (iodophor) with the possibility of wide use. It has a wide range of effects on the multiplying forms of microorganisms, i.e. bacteria, fungi and viruses. The iodine bound in the complex is released in a concentration that is sufficient for disinfection but does not damage the skin or mucous membranes. Full action begins 1-5 minutes after use. It permanently kills the growth of pathogenic microorganisms on the skin and mucous membranes.
